Tax Deferment Applications Due September 15

Eligible Farmington residents must file applications for 2026 summer tax deferment no later than September 15. The city says eligibility includes residents whose 2025 income did not exceed $40,000 and who meet specified conditions, such as being at least 62, totally or permanently disabled, blind, an eligible serviceperson or veteran, or an eligible widow or widower. Applications are available through the City of Farmington Treasurer's Office and online. Deferred summer taxes may be paid without penalty until March 1, 2027, according to the city notice.
