Heavy Item Garbage Collection Starts September 14

The Town of Strathmore's 2026 heavy item garbage collection is scheduled for Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18. The service is available to residents who pay the residential garbage charge on their Town utility bill. Households must attach a free HIG tag to each item, place items out by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of collection week, and keep items clear of streets, sidewalks, alleys, and nearby objects. Households are limited to five items per collection. HIG tags are available at the Municipal Building and Strathmore Municipal Library, but tags are not distributed during pickup week.
