Convenience Center Opens Saturday

Franklin Township's Convenience Center will be open Saturday, September 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the corner of School Avenue and Berry Street in Somerset. The facility is open to Franklin residents, who must present a valid driver's license to verify residency when a pass is required. Recyclable items accepted without a pass include newspaper, cardboard, metal cans, glass bottles, motor oil, light metal, appliances, household batteries, electronics, mulch pickup, and properly bagged leaves. Construction debris, household garbage, grass, chemicals, propane tanks, and several other materials are not accepted.
