Tree Giveaway Applications Due Tuesday

Applications for Tukwila's annual Tree Giveaway are due Tuesday, September 15. Residents may request one or two free trees for planting on private property within Tukwila city limits. The city says species are available first come, first served, and applicants should confirm they have enough space for the tree to mature. Approved participants will receive planting information later in September, with pickup scheduled for October 10 at Hazelnut Park. Questions can be directed to the city arborist.
