War Memorial Hosts 9/11 Remembrance

The War Memorial will hold a public Service of Remembrance on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. on the lakefront lawn of the Alger House, 32 Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms. The ceremony marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and includes a reading of Michigan residents who died, a color guard procession, musical performances, remarks, and three moments of silence. The service is free, preregistration is requested, and a coffee social hour will follow in the Alger Center Community Room. The program will also be livestreamed.
