City Plans September 11 Remembrance

Lynchburg will hold a remembrance ceremony Friday, September 11, marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the base of Monument Terrace on Church Street. Church Street and Ninth Street in front of Monument Terrace will be temporarily closed to traffic from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Motorists should plan another route during that hour. If it rains, the ceremony will move to West Lynchburg Baptist Church. A Monument Terrace the Troop Rally follows at noon.
