Southeast Library Reopens in Capitol Hill

The Southeast Library will reopen Thursday, September 10, after a modernization project that preserved the historic Carnegie landmark and expanded its usable space. The updated facility at 403 7th Street SE will include more room for children, teens, and adults, additional space for books and computers, new seating, improved meeting and study areas, restored landscaping, and a universally accessible entrance. The reopening gives residents a renewed neighborhood library location for borrowing, computer access, programs, meetings, and study.
