Indigenous Civic Engagement Day Comes to City Hall

Seattle's inaugural Indigenous Civic Engagement Day is scheduled for Friday, September 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bertha Knight Landes Room in Seattle City Hall. The Indigenous Advisory Council, Department of Neighborhoods, Seattle Public Schools, and urban Native community partners are organizing interactive workshops, panels, networking, activities, and discussions about engaging with city government. Lunch will be provided, and residents can register in advance. The event is intended for Indigenous community members and others interested in learning how city processes and programs affect urban Native communities.
