Library Hosts Civil War History Lecture
The Half Hollow Hills Community Library will host The Coming of the Civil War on Wednesday, September 23, from noon to 1:15 PM at the Dix Hills branch, 55 Vanderbilt Parkway. St. Joseph's University Professor Steven Fuchs will examine how the United States moved from declaring independence in 1776 to the brink of dissolution and civil war. The adult program is open to all, but registration and a library card are required. Registration closes at noon on the program date.
