History Museum Hosts Sales Tax Meeting

Tempe will hold an in-person informational meeting Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. at Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Avenue, about Proposition 424. City staff will present information and answer questions about the proposed 0.5% sales tax measure before registered Tempe voters consider it on Nov. 3. The city describes proposed funding for public safety, transportation, and early childhood care and preschool education, and says groceries and home-prepared food would be exempt.
