Queens SAFE waste event set for September 26

Residents of College Point and other New York City neighborhoods can bring eligible household hazardous waste to DSNY's Queens SAFE Disposal Event on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Cunningham Park ball field parking lot, with vehicle access from Francis Lewis Boulevard between Union Turnpike and the Grand Central Parkway. Accepted materials include items such as automotive products, batteries, electronics, paint, fire extinguishers, and household chemicals. Commercial waste, tires, appliances containing Freon, and waste generated outside New York City will not be accepted. Bring valid identification and proof of NYC residency.
