City Reviews Proposed FY27 Budget

Sugar Land has scheduled an FY27 Budget Workshop for Thursday, September 10, at 7:30 a.m. The workshop is part of the city's public budget process for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026. The proposed budget totals about $520.7 million with funding for municipal operations, public safety, transportation, utilities, parks, technology and capital projects. Residents can review the city's proposed budget materials and follow the workshop to better understand the spending plan before City Council considers adoption later in September.
