Creek Week Cleanup Starts At Fountain Creek

El Paso County Parks and Recreation is scheduled to host the Creek Week kickoff Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Peppergrass Lane in Fountain. Volunteers will clean trails, woods and the creek in the park. Registration is strongly recommended, and the county lists the kickoff as free. The event starts the county nature center's participation in the wider Creek Week cleanup, which runs across the Fountain Creek Watershed and is open to individuals, families, schools, neighborhood groups and other community organizations.
