Beavertail Lighthouse Tower Climb Returns

The Beavertail Lighthouse tower will reopen for public climbing on Saturday, September 12, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Beavertail Lighthouse Museum on Beavertail Road. A five-dollar donation is suggested for each adult climber, and climbers must be at least four feet tall. The opening is weather-dependent, and visitors must be in line at least 30 minutes before closing. The climb includes 49 spiral-staircase steps and a seven-foot ladder to the observation catwalk, so both hands must remain free.
