Pawtuxet Park Hosts Anniversary Concert

Residents can attend Becoming the United States from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at Pawtuxet Park. The concert marks the 250th anniversary of the United Colonies adopting the name United States of America and includes performances by the West Bay Chorale, Pawtuxet Rangers, Rhode Island Wind Ensemble, and Benjamin Nacar, plus a patriotic sing-along. Parking will not be available at Pawtuxet Park and is very limited on nearby streets. A shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the Rhode Island Scottish Rite, 2115 Broad Street, Cranston, from 1 p.m. until one hour after the concert.
