More Than Sad Teaches Suicide Prevention

Chesterfield County Public Schools will host More Than Sad, a suicide-prevention education program, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, at Midlothian Library, 100 Millworks Crossing. The program is designed for teens age 14 and older, parents, caregivers and other supportive adults. Participants will learn to recognize signs of depression and other mental health concerns, understand warning signs and begin supportive conversations with young people. The event is free, but registration is required. The program also provides information about connecting families with help and local resources.
